Immunization
Requirements:
Newborns Less than 2 months of age (Birth to 1 month of
age)
Documented
written proof of immunization is required in order to
fulfill the requirements of the U.S. Immigration and Nationality
Act. The immunization is required even though it may not
correspond to what your doctor or public health department
feel is necessary. The Panel Physician has no authority
to recommend an exemption from the required immunization
unless there is proof of a valid medical contraindication
signed by your doctor.
Your newborn
requires:
- Hepatitis
B 1st vaccination
or
- Antibody
titer showing immunity to Hepatitis B
Written records
of immunization can be obtained from your family physician
or local public health department. Some but not all the
required immunizations may be obtainable without cost
from your family physician or local public health department.
We recommend that you review the requirements with your
family physician and that you obtain any necessary immunization
prior to your appointment for the Immigration Medical.
