The cost
of the medical examination, blood testing and x-ray is NOT a benefit
of Canadian Provincial government health insurance plans. You
may be able to obtain reimbursement from private insurance or
your sponsoring employer.

Prices do NOT include
cost of any necessary Immunizations. To see what immunizations
you may require see Immunizations.
We strongly recommend that you make every attempt to obtain an
immunization history from your family doctor, local public health
unit or in the case of students the Board of Education. If you
require immunizations in order to meet immigration requirements,
we strongly recommend that they be obtained from your family physician.
Some of the required immunizations, if deemed medically necessary,
may be benefits of your Provincial Health Insurance. Please check
with your family physician
- Children up to 14
years do NOT require chest x-ray or blood tests.
- Pregnant women do
NOT require chest x-ray. Please bring a note from your doctor
indicating that you are pregnant and when the baby is due.
- Pregnant women DO
require a blood test for syphilis and HIV.
- Adults 15 and older
require physical examination, chest x-ray and blood tests for
syphilis and HIV (the virus that causes AIDS).
- A tuberculin skin
test is NOT a routine part of the assessment.
- Panel Physicians
are not able to accept chest x-rays or blood test results that
have been done elsewhere
